Our Core Responsibilities
Volunteering
1. It is our responsibility to participate in the battle against human trafficking of women and children.
2. It is our responsibility to support geographic areas impacted by disasters; locations that rely on tourism for their economic sustainability with an emphasis on supporting small businesses.
3. As passionate advocates for specialty coffee shops and women, it is our responsibility to help support women-owned and run coffee farms.
Habitat for Humanity homeowners are typically 1st-time home buyers. Many are single moms. We bring emergency preparedness classes to these homeowners.
By empowering them with these skills and knowledge, we’re not only helping them feel more secure in their homes but also fostering a sense of resilience and self-reliance within the community. It's a wonderful initiative that can have a lasting positive impact on the lives of these families.
Mentorship
When I made the transition from a corporate career to entrepreneurship in 2004, resources to learn from were scarce and much of what I learned was through trial and error.
Today, as a mentor to local small businesses for Exponential Impact’s Survive and Thrive program, I get to guide them through many of the challenges I faced in the beginning.
