Resources for Coffee Shop Leaders

We’ve been working with small businesses since 2010. This is where you’ll find our recommended resources. We do not recommend any products or services we have not personally used.

Trust & Will: Estate planning must be part of your Continuity Plan for your business and Disaster Preparedness Plan for you personally. Trust & Will is a perfect solution for coffee shop leaders who are not in a position to hire an estate planning attorney. I personally use Trust & Will for my own estate planning needs. Aweber: An email list is a must for your small business. If you haven’t found the right email marketing solution for you, we recommend Aweber. It’s simple to use and their customer support is fantastic. Aweber offers a fantastic free course “How to Grow Your Business With Email Marketing.” Get it here > >

Dubsado: Small businesses, like yours, need effective, efficient and affordable CRM systems to create make-sense automation without losing the personalization and without being overkill and expensive. We’ve been using Dubsado since July of 2020 and it has been instrumental in helping us with proposals, contracts, invoicing, meeting scheduling and more. Take Dubsado for a test-drive here > >

Mint Mobile: If you’re tired of overpriced cell plan services and contracts, check out Mint Mobile. I switched over to them in 2022 and it’s the best decision I made for my business. I’ve never had a dropped call regardless of where I’ve traveled in the United States. Check out Mint Mobile’s crazy affordable plans here > >

Podium: If you have a podcast for your small business, you know that saving time when editing is essential. We use Podium for the Continuity Conversations podcast and it’s helped us create show notes, transcripts, highlight clips, social media snippets and more. You can test it out for free here > >

Moo: While many of us are using digital business cards these day, a printed card is still a great way to get the word out about your coffee shop. We use both digital and printed. On our printed card, we have a QR code that leads to a digital card/contact info that can’t fit on a printed card. This way, we know we have both bases covered. Plus, you definitely want to leave a printed card in those fish bowls you see at restaurants and other places.

We’ve used multiple print services over the years, and by far, we’ve found Moo to have the best in paper and print quality. Don’t skimp on quality just to save a few dollars. If you haven’t used Moo and want to check them out, here’s a link for you to use.

HiHello: Speaking of digital business cards, we’ve been using HiHello since 2023 and love it! There’s a free version and a paid version. We’ve found the free version has served our needs just fine. There’s also an app in both Google Play and the App Store. If you use an iPhone, you can also add your digital business card to your Apple Wallet. We add the QR code from HiHello to our printed business card. You can change the links, details etc. in HiHello, but your unique QR code doesn’t change so you don’t have to worry about reprinting business cards if you make changes in HiHello. It’s pretty sweet! Head over to HiHello to get started.

Simple Booklet: We wanted a way to present our marketing brochure to non-local coffee shop owners and not cut down more trees. We found a great tool in Simple Booklet. We created our trifold in Canva, downloaded a PDF version and uploaded it to Simple Booklet. It created an interactive page-turning brochure that can be accessed from anywhere.
